A typical day as a Key Account Manager

No two days look exactly the same here, and that’s part of what makes it work.

As a Key Account Manager, you’ll play a key part in keeping things moving for our customers, suppliers and The Pros around you. You’ll take ownership, solve problems properly, and work with people across the business to make things simpler, faster and better.

You’ll be trusted to get stuck in, make decisions, and see things through.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing your geographical patch, spending time both on customer sites and in offices to build relationships, drive engagement, and achieve sales targets

• Building strong relationships with customers at multiple levels while nurturing and growing existing accounts

• Understand customer needs and deliver the best possible solutions

• Taking a consultative approach to sales, focusing on service, value, and long-term partnerships rather than transactional selling

• Supporting the management of customer accounts, including debt awareness and resolution where required

• Promoting and educating customers on our marketplace platform to drive adoption and ease of use

What you’ll bring

• A proven track record of success in a sales or business development role

• Experience working in a B2B sales environment

• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to take a mature, consultative approach to sales

• The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a wider team

• A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven mindset

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
